Big Bang Academy is an accredited science EdTech startup.
Founded in early 2020, we started with a science workshop of 15 students and a dream of education. Ever since, our in-house developed online education platform, Big Bang Lab, has over 1000+ science animations, interactive teaching materials, and games. Our hybrid science courses, taught both online and offline, have benefited 3,000+ students from Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and other places.

Sarah and Nixon, like everyone, were curious kids who liked to explore the world around them. They pursued an education in science at the University of Cambridge and are equipped with the knowledge to explore the vast scientific field.
Even though they had a stable jobs in the finance sector after graduation, they never forgot the joys and satisfaction exploring the sciences, and the many “aha!” moments along the way.
Big Bang Academy was established with the dream of creating these “aha!” moments for children, dedicated to inspiring them to learn in a fun and rewarding way.
Sarah and Nixon started off by hosting a small science workshop of 3 people. Despite their stressful occupations, they chose to sacrifice their weekends to host workshops in order to achieve their dream of making science fun for every child.
Met with overwhelmingly positive responses from parents and children alike, Sarah and Nixon took a leap of faith and quit their jobs to fully dedicate themselves to their cause. In the course of a few months, they’ve grown from a handful of families to impacting and inspiring the lives of 300+ children.
During workshops, Sarah and Nixon noticed that many children loved to explore freely and experiment to their liking.
Building upon children's curiosity, our founders wanted to create a platform that enabled self-directed and self-motivated learning for children - and so lead to the birth of Big Bang Lab.
Big Bang Lab is an online edutainment (education+entertainment) platform for kids aged 4 and above to learn a wide array of science topics anytime, anywhere, with safe and reliable content and guidance.
In the span of one year, we have grown from 2 people to 15 dedicated team members, specialised in film and animation production, science education and software development, all sharing one dream to make science fun and rewarding for children everywhere.
We are honoured to be recognised as the Most Outstanding STEAM Education Platform of the Year by CORPHUB, first runner-up of the Global Edtech Start Up Award, GentT 2021 Leaders of Tomorrow amongst other accreditation.
